Support the Total Force

AFA’s mission includes full support of Airmen, Guardians, and the Families of the Total Air Force and Space Force, including Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, civilians, families, and members of the Civil Air Patrol. The Sam Johnson supports the Dallas-area total force including

• The 344th Recruiting Squadron, Arlington TX
• The 136 Airlift Wing (ANG) at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth
• The 254th Combat Communications Group, Hensley Field, assigned to the 136AW
• The 301 Fighter Wing (AFRES), Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth

We also support the Civil Air Patrol, part of the Total Force, through a variety of activities designed to broaden and educate CAP cadets. 

The Chapter supports unit booster clubs and unit events, and where possible, nominates outstanding unit members for Texas AFA Airmen of the Year honors.  The Chapter engages with the the 344CS to assist in the recruiting mission as part of the AFA AIMS program
