Strength Through Local Partnership

Our mission is too large to accomplish alone. The AFA Community Partner program allows local businesses and organizations to join forces with the AFA to support our Airmen, Guardians, and STEM education initiatives.
Why Become a Community Partner? When your business joins as a Community Partner, you are doing more than just providing financial support; you are taking a stand for the veterans, service members, and students in our North Texas community. Your partnership directly enables:
- STEM Excellence: Funding for CyberPatriot and StellarXplorers teams.
- Veteran Support: Resources for the Wounded Airman Program and local VA initiatives.
- Civic Leadership: Scholarships for JROTC cadets and Youth Leadership Conference attendees.

What does the Sam Johnson Chapter do with my money?
The Sam Johnson Chapter focuses nearly all its budget in support local area youth and to promote Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) education
- For the last 30 years, the chapter has sponsored Civil Air Patrol (CAP) cadets to attend flying training in support of the CAP Search & Rescue mission
- The chapter sponsors up to 20 local high school sophomores and juniors to attend Youth Leadership Conferences during the summer, where they are taught Leadership, Patriotism, and the American Free Enterprise system
- The chapter provides funds to support three local Scout troops who assist with the chapter’s main fundraising activity—a holiday flag program
- The chapter helps fund teams of high school students to participate in the Cyber Patriot and Stellar Explorers competition
- The chapter funds $12,000 of college scholarships to graduating high school seniors of the six AFJROTC units in our area who will be joining an ROTC program in college
